DIRECTOR, EDUCATIONAL STRATEGY

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director, Educational Strategy to be responsible for securing commercial funding for the development of CME accredited activities.

A critical function of the Director, Educational Strategy is to identify potential commercial funders in key therapeutic areas as assigned to this individual. This professional will be able to collaborate with our scientific staff and medical writers to develop proposals and provide recommended solutions to address educational needs identified.  The Director, Educational Strategy, will be a self-motivated individual that is passionate about their work and thrives in a team environment.

We are ideally seeking individuals with experience in oncology, neurology, cardiometabolic diseases and/or immunology.

What a day in the life of a Director, Educational Strategy looks like:

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Identifying funding opportunities in assigned therapeutic areas and/or accounts
  • Develop a business plan that outlines key goals, objectives and priorities
  • Accountable for securing funding from commercial funders
  • Work closely with grant administration and scientific affairs to develop proposals and grant submissions
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders on the development teams across scientific affairs, project management, and production categories
  • Review and present metrics and outcomes on programs to commercial funders
  • Review content for needs assessments, learning objectives, and agendas used in CME grant proposals
  • Attend internal meetings as required
What we expect from qualified candidates:
  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2)-years of experience in the CME
  • Possess a keen eye for detail encompassing scientific content and editorial standards
  • Possess exceptional written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Be flexible and independent while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively with staff, subject matter experts, supporters and vendors
  • Be able to travel and work extended hours as needed
  • Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
